Practical Skills:

·        Washing- 

I have helped children to wash their hands on my work experience at James Wolfe School  

·        Help with mobility-

for example i helped a service user to walk using their walking stick for the disaster movie

·        Help with clothing-

for example i help older people to put their shoes and gave them a choice to what clothes they want to wear in the disaster movie

Scientific Skills

·        CPR-

for example i have been practising CPR by using a dummy to learn how to doing it

·        Giving treatments-

for example I have used plasters to stop bleeding and infection on my friends and family

·        Giving medicines-

for example I have given my mother her medication regularly at home

·        Listening

I have listened to children when they are talking and for example reading a book

·        Keeping records-

I keep good records using my mobile phone for appointments and my planner to keep track of work that needs doing

·        Emails -

I have emailed the teacher to clarify my work or homework

·        Text-

I often use text to communicate with a lot of people by using my mobile phone

Carried out a survey around the school, checking if the computer are working

·        Working in a team-

By getting involved with a group or my class and maybe having a discussion

·        Building relationships-

I start talking to the person and try to behave in a friendly manner to build a relationship with them

·        Working with other agencies-

I learnt to work with schools, social workers, the speech and language and the audiology team at James Wolfe on my work experience
